As part of our Platform team, you'll help shape the quality strategy behind BarracudaONE, our next-generation cloud platform that unifies the customer experience across Barracuda's security products. BarracudaONE enables organizations to manage their security posture through a single, streamlined interface.
We are seeking someone driven to build quality into the software development lifecycle. Working alongside developers, you'll design automated testing solutions for a modern SaaS architecture and help drive adoption of AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and Playwright MCP to improve test coverage, engineering efficiency, and release confidence.

What you’ll be working on
You will have the opportunity to influence the quality strategy for a modern SaaS platform serving a global customer base.
You will be responsible for:
Advancing a honeycomb-based testing strategy aligned to our microservices architecture
Collaborating with software developers to improve testability and automation coverage
Developing service-level (API), and end-to-end automated tests
Integrating automated quality checks into CI/CD pipelines
Using observability data to identify risk areas and improve test effectiveness
Evaluating and adopting AI-assisted testing and development tools
Helping define engineering best practices related to automation, quality, and release confidence
Contributing to sprint planning, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives
What you bring to the role
2-5 years of relevant experience
Strong communication and collaboration skills
A passion for software quality and automation
Experience developing automated tests using modern frameworks
Familiarity with programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript
Understanding of API testing principles and distributed systems
Knowledge of source control systems such as Git
Experience working within Agile development teams
Curiosity about AI-assisted software development and automation
A problem-solving mindset and desire to continuously improve engineering processes
Nice to have
Experience with Playwright
Experience testing microservices-based applications
Familiarity with GraphQL and REST APIs
Experience with AWS cloud services
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices
Experience building test frameworks or developer productivity tooling
Exposure to AI-powered development tools and workflows

The anticipated salary range for this role is $74,000 CAD to $98,000 CAD. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, the budget for the position, and applicable employment laws.
